Rose Route

The classic self-guided tour is the "Hildesheim Rose Route." This 2,5-kilometer route follows ceramic roses embedded in the pavement, leading to the city's most important sights. The starting point is at the historic market square next to the Tourist Information Center in the Tempelhaus (Judenstraße) – easily recognizable by the bronze plaque embedded in the ground!

If you have more time, you can extend the basic route with three additional independent supplementary routes.

On the extension “Fachwerk im Godehardviertel” you will reach the half-timbered quarter, on the extension “Keßlerstraße und Kehrwiederwall” you can stroll along the green ramparts and on the extension “Hildesheims schönster Garten” you can visit the baroque Magdalenengarten.
