A particular highlight is the Innerste Cycle Path. From the Harz Mountains to Hildesheim, 105 kilometers of cycling connect two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From Goslar, you pass the source of the Innerste River in the Upper Harz and follow the route past impressive landscapes to its confluence with the Rhine in Sarstedt.
Roughly half the route leads through or past nature reserves and can be completed in one stage or divided into three – giving you ample time to visit the towns and sights along the way. With a total elevation gain of 1260 meters and some sections on natural paths, the route is best suited for more experienced cyclists.
In three stages:
Starting in Goslar, you'll find the Rammelsberg Visitor Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the charming old town. After an initial climb of up to 650 meters, the second day rewards you with a long descent and a route directly along the river. The final leg takes you past Derneburg Castle to Hildesheim, home to two UNESCO World Heritage churches.

How to find us
If you wish to start your cycle route from Goslar, you can begin at Goslar train station. Goslar can be reached by car via the A7, B6, B82, and B6. Parking is available on site. The erixx train offers a direct train connection between Hildesheim and Goslar.
If you want to start your cycling trip from the actual starting point at the town hall in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, you can drive there via the A7, B6 and the B243.
Public transport options include taking the train to Goslar and then a bus to Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
The route ends at the train station in Sarstedt, from where onward travel by train is also possible.
