Art and culture in conjunction with nature

The Art Cycle Route runs through the river valleys of the Gande, Lamme, and Innerste rivers, connecting Sarstedt via Hildesheim to Bad Gandersheim. This themed cycle route links five sections: the Water Art Trail, the Romanesque Trail, the Contact Art Trail, Art in Motion, and the Sculpture Trail. Long, rolling hills, dense forests, and gentle valley meadows characterize the idyllic landscape along the way. A highlight is Lamspringe Abbey with its monastery park featuring ponds and modern art.
