Ambergau Cycle Path

The Ambergau Cycle Path offers a comfortable and effortless way to explore the region between Seesen and Holle. The approximately 31-kilometer route winds past expansive meadows and forests, and through small towns and villages. At its end, you'll reach Derneburg, with its impressive castle and art museum. Along the way, you can admire the diverse landscape of the Ambergau region and pass the Sottrum Family Park. The town of Bockenem, the heart of the valley basin, is a perfect place for a break.
You can easily reach the starting point in Seesen by train. From there, you cycle via Rhüden and the former Hanseatic city of Bockenem to Holle. The route ends at Derneburg Castle. The Ambergau Cycle Path closes the gap between the Innerste Cycle Path and the R1 long-distance cycle route.
