City beach
Why fly south when you can experience the perfect holiday feeling right here in Hildesheim? Plenty of sand, deck chairs, olive trees, and cool refreshments transport young and old to a Mediterranean atmosphere right in the heart of Hildesheim. While adults relax with iced cocktails in one of the beach chairs, children can build sandcastles in the play area, swing a badminton racket, and be rewarded with treats from the beach bar after their fun.

St. Andrew's Church Tower
During the summer holidays Lower Saxony's tallest church tower can once again be visited daily 11 16 clock to clock can be climbed for a breathtaking panoramic view over Hildesheim.

How wonderful that we have Pepe the Penguin at our St. Bernward Children's Hospital! Of course, getting well can sometimes be quite exhausting. But Pepe the Penguin helps wherever he can. And the best part is: you can help him too! With a picture you paint yourself for Pepe and the children. Here's how: Come along on an exciting walk to many of Pepe's favorite spots around St. Bernward Hospital! Along the way, we'll discover lots of strange things to marvel at and laugh about: for example, a mysterious ancient rose. And wild herbs that can heal you. People helping each other. And maybe you've always wanted to see where a real helicopter lands, the kind that saves lives? You're sure to find plenty of great subjects for your very own picture for Pepe and the children at the hospital! And psst: Pepe has a wonderful surprise gift for the most beautiful pictures! The proceeds from the tour will be donated to the children's ward at St. Bernward Hospital.
