Studios and galleries in Hildesheim

Beyond the large shops and shopping centers, Hildesheim offers a wealth of galleries and studios for arts and crafts and design. In small workshops – some located in picturesque courtyards and quiet side streets – local designers passionately combine traditional craftsmanship, state-of-the-art techniques, sustainable practices, and artistic ambition. The result is a collection of beautiful and practical one-of-a-kind pieces in the fields of jewelry, leather goods, ceramics, metalwork, textiles, graphic design, painting, and more.

Astrid Jansen

Manager.

Leather with passion! Right in the heart of Hildesheim, I've created a special place that combines shop, workshop, and gallery. A place where you can watch me transform a piece of leather into a truly cherished item.

Custom belts. Bags. Accessories. Object art. Repairs. Workshops & projects. Experience the subtly spicy scent of vegetable-tanned leather for yourself.

Atelier Bindernagel

Jewelry and tableware.

"My studio in the courtyard offers me the peace and quiet to follow my thoughts and give form to my jewelry and tableware. I primarily shape gold and silver with countless fine hammer blows. I love it when these pieces radiate a lightness, feel smooth to the touch, and express the look I'm looking for. For me, my profession is a way of being."

Charming Gallery

Art. Nature. Design.

The Reizig Gallery is a place where selected artists present their perspective on nature. "The beauty of nature depicted in unique pieces of jewelry." Following this guiding principle, I design keepsakes that will accompany you for a lifetime.

Gallery TEN

Art. Craft. Design.

Where does a product come from? How is it created, and who is behind it?

Since 2010, we've been answering this question. We create pieces that accompany you every day, designs that impress you with their individuality, functionality, and meticulous attention to detail. With us, you can experience what a mindful dialogue between people and materials can achieve.

Kathrin Sättele

Jewelry.

The former carpentry workshop, an urban gem, is my home and creative space. Over the years, it has evolved under my hands into a studio with an exhibition area. With the same passion and dedication, I forge my delicate, captivating jewelry pieces, whose forms are reminiscent of expansive calligraphy and have become my unmistakable signature.

Monika Kucera

Fashion design.

Creating fashion that highlights personality has always fascinated me. I want to achieve this with my work: clothing that makes you feel attractive and comfortable. I am a self-employed fashion designer with my own studio in Hildesheim. Consultation, custom tailoring, fabric selection (high-quality materials), design, pattern making – everything is done by me. My creations are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

The ceramics workshop.

Clay is a natural material, malleable by hand. Firing at over 1200°C (using renewable energy) makes it durable. My aim and challenge is to create bowls, mugs, and vases for everyday use that reflect their origins, are timelessly beautiful, and feel good in the hand. Beautiful ceramics don't wear out. If you no longer like them, give them away.
