Public toilets

For a relaxing stay

Whether you're a tourist exploring Hildesheim's sights or a local out shopping, it's always reassuring to know where the nearest restroom is. From the main train station to Hohnsensee, there are several public, accessible toilets located throughout the city. You can easily find their exact locations on the city map.

Most public restrooms operate cashless via debit card. Anyone without a card can purchase a one-time-use QR code for the restroom facility "An der Lilie" ( Marktstraße 13) – directly on the historic market square – for €0,50 at the Tourist Information office . Simply hold the card with the QR code against the scanner next to the door and you're good to go.
