Public transport

By bus through the city and region

Want to get around the city comfortably and sustainably? Our tip: Leave your car (or campervan) behind and hop on the bus. Six regular daytime lines plus eight less frequent secondary lines will take you all over the city, starting as early as 4:30 a.m. More of a night owl? No problem! On Fridays and Saturdays, the big bus will take you from the theater, cinema, and pubs back to bed until 4:00 a.m. After 8:00 p.m., you can also get off between stops on some lines, or the driver can call you a taxi. Bicycles are always welcome, and tickets are available on the bus and at many sales points. So, all aboard!

From July 1st until the end of 2026, all residents can use buses throughout the city of Hildesheim without a ticket on Saturdays . This offer applies to journeys starting and ending within the city limits of Hildesheim on the lines operated by SVHI Stadtverkehr Hildesheim and RVHI Regionalverkehr Hildesheim. Free travel is available every Saturday from midnight to midnight. Please note that separate rules apply to night buses after midnight.
