Info shops exist in many cities in Germany and in other countries as well. Their numbers have steadily increased since the 1980s. They see themselves as part of independent organizations and provide access to information that is not presented, or is presented inadequately, in the mainstream media. The info shop is run by volunteers and is self-organized by teenagers and young adults. We are an open group and welcome new, committed people.

The information center in Hildesheim offers a diverse selection of books, magazines, and newspapers dealing with political topics. Magazines and books can be purchased, read on-site, or borrowed. Older issues are archived and available for use.
The archive also documents events from the region. In addition, there is an extensive collection of political documentaries. All interested people are welcome.

On certain occasions, such as events, festivals, concerts, lectures, and discussion evenings that are thematically related to the infoshop, we also offer book tables. Just ask for details.

More information about the Hildesheim Project Workshop (ProWe) can be found at the provided link.

Opening hours: Almost always Tuesdays from 17:00 PM to 19:30 PM.
