Club VolksEigeneBar, or Club VEB for short , is a non-commercial event series with a long tradition. Cultural events have been held on the first floor of Loretta since 1995.

The venue primarily features concerts by bands from the region and around the world. The project represents a musical diversity ranging from well-crafted pop music outside the mainstream charts, through various rock genres such as punk, indie, and stoner, to modern jazz and electronic artists. Occasionally, these genre boundaries are blurred and transcended. In its 25 years of existence, the club has gained a reputation among musicians throughout Germany and beyond. The club enjoys a strong reputation, and the program is tailored to the preferences of both the audience and the team, resulting in a correspondingly diverse lineup.

In addition, the VEB team sometimes organizes foosball tournaments, readings, and game nights. Apart from short seasonal breaks, all of this takes place every Wednesday from 21 pm.

Club VEB is a cultural project operating under the motto "Culture for all at minimal cost ." The VEB team works on a voluntary basis. Drink sales cover expenses. Admission is always free. A hat is passed around for the bands' fees.
