The Cathedral Museum's extensive photo archive was originally created for documentation purposes and has remained largely untouched in the museum's storage. With the exhibition 'Archival Sequences: From the Historical Photo Archive', this extraordinary collection is brought to the public's attention for the first time.
A selection of photographic objects illustrates the high aesthetic and technical quality of the photographs. They also reveal the reception and staging strategies of earlier generations of researchers and photographers, while simultaneously offering unique insights into the numerous metamorphoses of the cathedral, the cathedral museum, and the cathedral treasury.

Furthermore, a specially developed online platform will make the Cathedral Museum's photo collection virtually accessible and open up new opportunities for research and education.

The museum is closed on public holidays.
