You rocked the tower! – The Andreasturm Challenge 2025 was a resounding success. 364 steps, 114,5 meters high, and numerous motivated participants who gave it their all – faster, more ambitious, and more energetic than we could have ever hoped for. The atmosphere was fantastic, the feedback overwhelmingly positive, and the team spirit palpable everywhere. Particularly impressive: The best time to the top of the tower was just 1 minute and 50 seconds. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, helpers, and spectators who made this special event possible.

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Hildesheim Marketing invites you once again to a special competition – the climb to the top of the highest church tower in Lower Saxony!
You'll face 364 steps , a height of 114,5 meters , and a race against time – right through the historic tower of St. Andrew's Church. The path leads past the bell tower and the old clock mechanism up to the viewing platform. Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with a unique view over Hildesheim – on a clear day, you can even see as far as the Brocken mountain.
The goal is clear: Who will reach the top the fastest?
Up to 105 participants compete against each other in various age and special categories. Fitness, ambition, and of course, the joy of an extraordinary challenge are required.
