Thega Film Palace
Attention all movie fans! A true giant of film history awaits you here! From a small "Theater Garden" with occasional film screenings in 1911 to one of the most beautiful cinema complexes in Northern Germany, it's been a long journey. The name "Thega," short for "Theater Garden," remained, but everything else grew into a top-class cinema complex that impresses with its architecture alone. Seven auditoriums and studios await you today. All are equipped with comfortable seats, including several "love seats" (perfect for cuddling up together). If you appreciate exceptional sound while watching films, check out what's playing in auditoriums 6 or 7: They feature the sophisticated Dolby® Atmos™ audio platform, where the sound moves around the listener in three dimensions – a truly unique experience. In addition to the current and extensive film selection, there are many extras such as a film café and the option to host children's birthday parties.
