Experience Hildesheim's World Heritage in a multimedia way

If you're visiting Hildesheim, the UNESCO World Heritage churches of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Michael's should definitely be on your itinerary. An ideal starting point is the interactive exhibition "UNESCO World Heritage" on the first floor of the Tourist Information Center at the historic market square. Here you can discover the history of Hildesheim and its World Heritage sites in a vivid and engaging way. The centerpiece of the exhibition is an interactive city model that brings over 1.000 years of urban development to life. This is complemented by clear timelines that guide you through the most important stages of the city's history. For a relaxing break, massage chairs with fascinating audio information about Hildesheim's World Heritage sites are available – providing both information and relaxation.

The exhibition is easily accessible by elevator and can be visited during the Opening hours of the tourist information office They can be visited free of charge.

The Hildesheim World Heritage Visitor Centre was funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
