St. Lamberti Parish
The parish church of the Neustadt (New Town) was built around 1500. Its roof is covered with 50.000 tiles. The three-aisled hall church in the late Gothic style is filled with natural light. The most remarkable feature is the altarpiece, which is probably 60 to 80 years older than the church itself. It depicts scenes from the Passion and Death of Jesus.

Incidentally: The cat fountain has stood here on the New Market since 1913 and refers to the legend of the cats who have fun with the night watchman at midnight.
