Laves Cultural Trail
A pleasant contrast to Derneburg Castle is a stroll through the dewy greenery of the surrounding English landscape garden: A 2,5-kilometer circular path leads you as a cultural trail to further works by the architect Laves, such as the pyramid mausoleum or a Greek temple. After the tour, you can enjoy refreshments in the former castle gardens – now a café and atmospheric venue for concerts, readings, and theater performances.

Arrival & Parking
- The starting point for the circular hiking trail is the Café Glashaus in Derneburg, opposite the castle. Parking is available.
You can reach the glasshouse by public regional bus, e.g. via Hildesheim main station to Derneburg/Schlossstraße (approx. 30 - 60 min.).
For those arriving by train, the hourly erixx train from Hildesheim to Derneburg (approx. 15 min.) is recommended. Regional buses run from Derneburg train station to Schlossstraße.
