Terms & Conditions
for holders of the Hildesheim voucher
Since 15.10.2025
1. Hildesheim voucher
Gift vouchers can be purchased at participating retail outlets. A list of current sales and acceptance points is available online at www.hildesheim-gutschein.de.
When selling a voucher, the respective point of sale acts on behalf of and in the name of the issuer.
The Hildesheim voucher is issued exclusively with a fixed monetary value of €10, €15 or €50.
The employer voucher is worth €50.
2. Redemption
The Hildesheim voucher can be redeemed to pay for goods and services in euros at the acceptance points participating in the voucher system at the time of redemption.
Redemption is only possible in person at the point of sale. Use in online shops or other online services offered by the participating businesses is not permitted.
Cash payment – even partial – is excluded. This applies in particular if the value of the goods or services is less than the face value of the voucher. There is no entitlement to a refund of any remaining balance.
The Hildesheim voucher is not tied to a specific person and is therefore freely transferable.
3. Validity and Limitation Period
Vouchers can only be redeemed within the specified validity period. The year of issue stated on the voucher is decisive.
The voucher is valid for three years from the end of the year of issue.
The regular limitation period is three years according to §§ 195, 199 of the German Civil Code (BGB). It begins at the end of the year in which the voucher was issued.
After the limitation period has expired, redemption of the voucher – even partially – is no longer possible.
Unused balances expire at the end of the limitation period. There is no entitlement to a cash payment of the voucher value or any remaining balance at any time. Likewise, after the limitation period has expired, there is no entitlement to an extension, exchange, or issuance of a replacement voucher.
4. Governing Law
All legal relations between the voucher holder and Hildesheim Marketing GmbH are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If the voucher holder is a consumer and has his or her habitual residence in another member state of the European Union, mandatory consumer protection regulations of that state remain unaffected.
5. Liability
Hildesheim Marketing GmbH accepts no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers. Replacement or blocking is not possible.
