Conditions for acceptance points of the Hildesheim voucher

1. Subject of the voucher system

The “Hildesheim Voucher” is an initiative of Hildesheim Marketing GmbH, Rathausstraße 15, 31134 Hildesheim.

The vouchers are issued in denominations of €10, €15 and €50.

The employer voucher can have a value of up to €50 and can be purchased in any denomination. If the employer voucher is to be purchased on account, it can only be purchased directly from Hildesheim Marketing GmbH.

The production, processing, administration and promotion of the voucher system are carried out by Hildesheim Marketing GmbH.

Participation in the voucher system is free of charge for participating businesses. A clearing fee of 4% plus VAT is charged for processing redeemed vouchers.

The vouchers are valid for three years from the end of the year of issue.

2. Participation as a receiving point

Any company based in the city of Hildesheim can become a collection point. Registration is done via a corresponding registration form submitted to Hildesheim Marketing GmbH.

Collection points receive:

• a “We are in” sticker for identification in the store 
• a publication on the website www.hildesheim-gutschein.de 
• a presentation on the social media channels of Hildesheim Marketing GmbH

3. Redeeming the vouchers

Vouchers can be used by the voucher holder at participating acceptance points like cash to pay for goods or services.

The vouchers are transferable.

4. No cash payout / remaining balances

Cash payment – ​​even partial – is excluded if the value of the goods or services is less than the face value of the voucher. This is stated on the voucher.

For tax reasons, any form of cash payment for employer vouchers is excluded. The tax treatment is solely the employer's responsibility.

5. Settlement of voucher payments

The acceptance point submits received vouchers to Hildesheim Marketing GmbH in person or by mail.

The receiving office will receive confirmation of receipt no later than 5 days after submission; this confirmation also serves as an invoice. The voucher value, less the clearing fee, will be transferred promptly.

Hildesheim Marketing GmbH accepts no liability for vouchers lost in the mail. No refunds will be issued in case of loss.

6. Checking the vouchers

Acceptance points are obliged to verify the authenticity of the voucher based on the following characteristics:

• hologram 

• Voucher number 

• Feel and condition

Only vouchers with a valid, undamaged and clearly legible voucher number and a hologram are eligible for redemption.

7. Exclusion of damaged, manipulated or expired vouchers

Acceptance points are not obligated to accept vouchers that are illegible, damaged, heavily worn, or otherwise altered. This applies in particular if security features such as holograms, voucher numbers, or other authentication features are no longer fully or clearly recognizable.

In these cases, there is no entitlement to acceptance, refund, or replacement by the acceptance point or Hildesheim Marketing GmbH. Issuance of a replacement voucher is also excluded.

If a participating business accepts such a voucher, Hildesheim Marketing GmbH will not issue a refund. The participating business bears the financial risk in this case.

This also applies to vouchers that are accepted or submitted after the respective validity or billing period has expired. In these cases, too, there is no entitlement to a refund from Hildesheim Marketing GmbH.

8. Contract duration and termination

Participation in the voucher system is for a minimum term of 12 months. Termination is possible at any time with three months' notice to the end of the month and must be submitted in writing to Hildesheim Marketing GmbH.

If no notice of termination is given, participation is extended indefinitely and can still be terminated with three months' notice to the end of the month.

9. Acceptance and billing periods

The acceptance and settlement of vouchers depends on the year of issue:

10. Changes to the Conditions

Hildesheim Marketing GmbH reserves the right to amend or adapt these terms and conditions, provided that this is reasonable taking into account the interests of the acceptance points.

Changes will be communicated to the acceptance points in an appropriate manner. The currently valid version will be published on www.hildesheim-gutschein.de.
