Citybeach launches with a new program and proven beach atmosphere
From June 26th to August 16th, it's time again for: Summer in the City
Hildesheim. Seven weeks of beach vibes right in the city center: Citybeach kicks off its 17th season on June 26th. Until August 16th, the square An der Lilie will once again be transformed into an urban beach with sand, summer food and drink, and a diverse program of events.
Hildesheim Marketing GmbH is organizing the popular event together with premium sponsors Sparkasse Hildesheim Goslar Peine and gbg Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Hildesheim AG. In addition to tried-and-tested attractions, visitors can also look forward to some new features. Sporting highlights such as the popular Cornhole Sparkasse Cup are once again part of the program, as are numerous activities for all ages. The Citybeach also remains committed to sustainability: thanks to the cooperation with EVI Energieversorgung Hildesheim and the EVI SOLARMEILE, the entire operation will again be powered by 100 percent regionally generated solar energy.

Additionally, in cooperation with Hi Future Once again, an intelligent irrigation system is being used, enabling demand-based and resource-efficient watering. The collected data will be made publicly available via the "Urban Data Platform." In addition, four smart, solar-powered Bigbelly trash cans will be installed on the city beach. Powered by integrated solar panels, they allow for demand-based emptying and more efficient waste disposal thanks to fill-level sensors.
