Hildesheim promotes culture and short trips at the Lower Saxony Day in Braunschweig.
Hildesheim/Braunschweig. When the city of Braunschweig hosts Lower Saxony Day from June 12th to 14th, Hildesheim will also be there. Our city hosted Lower Saxony's largest state festival in 2015 and is delighted that the event is now taking place in our immediate vicinity. In the pavilion organized by Hildesheim Marketing at Herzogin-Anna-Amalia-Platz (booths 6 to 14), Hildesheim will present itself as an attractive destination for a varied short visit.
The Day of Lower Saxony is one of Germany's largest state festivals, attracting numerous visitors from across the state and beyond each year. Hildesheim's participation aims to position the city as a worthwhile destination for day trips and short breaks, and to generate new visitor numbers. The Theater für Niedersachsen (Theater for Lower Saxony) will present its diverse program at its Hildesheim location, as well as at the other venues of the state theater. The Van der Valk Hotel will be present, representing the many hosts in our city.
The centerpiece of the trade fair appearance is a creative, hands-on activity: Visitors of all ages can design their own buttons featuring Hildesheim motifs and take them home as souvenirs. Postcards with Hildesheim scenes can also be sent free of charge. At the same time, the stand will provide information about the city's diverse attractions, cultural offerings, and event highlights.
This guide showcases how culture, experiences, and hospitality can be ideally combined in Hildesheim. A visit to the historic old town and the UNESCO World Heritage Site can be perfectly combined with an overnight stay and an evening at the theater. This provides those interested with inspiration for a varied short break in the region.
