A warm welcome to guests in Hildesheim
Hildesheim Marketing and the hotel industry are jointly launching the Hildesheim TouristCard starting October 1st.
Hildesheim has much to offer tourists, from culture and history to gastronomy, diverse shopping opportunities, and leisure activities. To show special appreciation for overnight guests, warmly welcome them, and simultaneously increase the visibility of local businesses, the new Hildesheim TouristCard will launch on October 1st.
The guest card is an initiative of Hildesheim Marketing GmbH in close cooperation with the local hotel industry and offers tourists an attractive added value for their stay.
The project originated from the "Hotelrunde," a network of the largest local accommodation providers that has been established for many years and is coordinated by Hildesheim Marketing. Hildesheim Marketing is now responsible for the final concept and implementation of the TouristCard.
Exclusively for overnight guests
The TouristCard is a special thank you to visitors of the city. It is not available for purchase, but exclusively for tourists staying in one of the participating accommodations within the city limits of Hildesheim.
Guests receive the card conveniently in a paper format directly at check-in. By presenting the card, they then receive exclusive discounts at participating partner businesses. Fritz Ahrberg, Managing Director of Hildesheim Marketing GmbH, explains: “We are delighted to have already attracted around 20 partner businesses at launch. These cover a wide range of areas such as culture, services, gastronomy, and hotel-specific offerings, thus reflecting the diversity of Hildesheim. The program is further enhanced by seasonal highlights, such as ice cream at the beach bar at City Beach in the summer and various offers related to the Christmas market during the colder months.” He adds: “The card is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Guests benefit from the discounts. Hotels benefit from satisfied guests. Partner businesses benefit from additional visitors and increased visibility.”
Through this broad network of over 20 partner businesses, guests experience a vibrant welcoming culture and benefit from a wide range of offerings. The network is set to expand further in the future, both in terms of partner businesses and accommodation providers.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the new Hildesheim TouristCard are already available online at www.hildesheim-tourismus.de/touristcard . In time for the launch, all current offers from partner businesses and an overview of participating accommodations will also be available there.
